Hiking with Kymmer at Ute Valley Park...

With the guys off SNOWBOARDING today Kymmer, Lexi and I decided we needed a fun in the sun outing too... It is so nice to have such a gorgeous hiking trail right down the street!! We armed ourselves with water and Lex kept us safe from rattlesnakes as we climbed up "the snowy mountain". Kymmer has become quite the little hiker and she did not want to come down!! I insisted as the hike down was pretty far still and the sun was fading...good thing as we were all ready to be done by the end...well, not Lexi, she could go forever. AND Kymi RAN all the way down...I guess it was me that was ready to be done! :D I have to admit that it is nice to be outside in January!! SHHHHHHH! Don't tell my husband!! I am trying to get an Alaska trip this summer!! :D Blessings to you all!! And a shout out to my Alaska friends..."stay WARM!!!"

Yeah for girls day outings! Ok, I was with you on this hike until you mentioned rattle snakes! At first I was thinking one of the kids was clearing the way for rattle snakes then I realized it was a dog!...lol

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week end!

I was going to say lets get Jackies Key to her house and have a party...but then it dawned on me that they will be here...and I don't want them Alaskan folks up here having a party at my house with me gone!...LOL

I'm glad you had some nice weather for your hike!! Right now my thermometer says the big ZERO! I don't think it has been that warm in a couple weeks. Hopefully the girls will get to go outside at school this week. How did the boys do snowboarding? Rattlesnakes? Are they out at this time of the year? It has been way to long for me to remember that detail. Have a great Sunday tomorrow!

Well funny you should mention Doctor...ummm yesterday the daughter called from school and says, "hey mom, I have an ear ache." I said for her to go to the school cafe, grab an onion, put a little of it in your ear and put a cotton ball over it to keep it in there. Wa-la! She woke up this morning and her ear ache is gone!...LOL So you see, maybe I should be a doctor!!!!...lol And just wanted to tell you that picture of my three kids is in Alaska! Jackie took it as the kids were getting off her Dad's boat. Now I forget the area we were in where they went fishing?
Are you on Facebook? I started one and am just now kind of using it...I don't know how to find and add people, but I think Jackie said you were on it as well...my email is housefrau2@yahoo.com if you want to add me. I am still trying to find Jackie on there...she is my computer leader here...lol Hugssss and have a great day!

Jax, it looks like we will come at the end of August. Can't wait to see you! :D

Christine, I love the onion idea! Home remedies are the best!! I WILL try that one!

Barb, I have never seen a rattlesnake...but, there is a HUGE sign at the trail head that says to beware. So, I do! :D I am not sure what conditions are good for them?? Sunshine for sure! Anyway, better safe then sorry I say!!

Have a wonderful day, all!! We are off to the zoo. YEA!!!!
