SNOW!!!! Do you think it's our fault???
Ahh, the air is crisp and clean smelling...I love it!!! I have to say though that CS is a bit on the wimpy side when it comes to the cold stuff...no outside recess even though it's sunny and warm as well. It's good for us though as we have not found snow boots, mits or gloves yet. :{ So, here you go Jax...a new post. Love to all! OH...we have our new carpet in downstairs and the walls look GREAT! The bathroom is darling and we will start "moving in" to our new bedrooms as soon as Greg gets the trim back up. YEA!!!

A PERFECT day at the zoo...
Oh, this zoo is amazing!! A must see for all those who come to visit us!! We got to actually pet and feed the giraffes! And, there are elephants!! We named this one Shirley and the other one Maggie only to find out they are Lucky and Sinkar (I think). Oh well! The zoo closed before we got to see the moose, so, we might need to go back tomorrow. (We couldn't pull Greg away from painting to come today anyway...so, tomorrow he needs to come!

The View...
"TODAY IS CUBS!!!"
Kymi woke up yesterday morning with a huge smile proclaiming, "Today is Cubs!!!" She promptly put on her Cubbie vest and wore it all day in anticipation. How cute is that!?!!! She memorized her verse lickidy split and said that all day too! David loved his new Sparks group too! He has about 6 friends from his class at school who he met up with there... Wow! God answered my little boys prayers for new friends in such a huge way!! He is so blessed! It eases the pain of missing Alaska and all the people he loves there a bit.

Highlighter
Hi Friends!
Kymi and I just came back from Mom's and Beyond and I am compeled to share a simple yet profound tidbit I learned today. The speakers topic was Jesus as our Shepherd and the challenge was to shepherd our own kids as The Shepherd shepherds us with provision, protection, and guildence. Great message, but, this is what struck me... We as mom's have the God-given ability to light the way for our kids and to shed light on things...the speaker challenged us to be a highlighter in their lives rather than a sharpie (to me, the difference between gentleness and harshness...) WOW! With all the change and emotions at an all time high for all of us, this was a great word picture for me! Not so much in regards to my kids, but, for my sweet husband. He is the one I can tend to be hard on. So here is my commitment for this time when we are together 24/7...I am going out and get me a cute little highlighter that has a string...I will wear it around my neck to remind me to use gentle words, to be quick to "highlight" the wonderful things he does and the amazing man that he is. Thanks for listening and have a day filled with highlights! Love, Tam

Fall Fun...
Although our weather here is sunny and in the 70's, we do have color in the trees and Kyni was ready for some taffy apples! David's new joke... "My mouth fell in love with this taffy apple, they got married and birthed a child named, YUM!!!!" Too cute, huh?!! Anyway, David also enjoyed rollerskating with AWANA last night! And, I met the MIT leader and co-leader for our school. I will go pray with them tomorrow mornin' at 8am. YEA!!! I feel like I'm really making some great connections...God is GOOD!!!!

Mom's and Beyond
Hello! Today Kymi and I went to one of Woodman Valley Chapel's Mom's groups and it was SO wonderful!! It felt like "Mom's" and Faith...I was welcomed and felt so at home. It was so funny...the gal who met me in the parking lot and introduced me to everyone was their childcare coordinator! And she does an amazing job!! I wonder what my role will be there? Maybe I will just "soak it all in" for a while. One of Kymi's teachers has 2 adopted Chinese daughters and she just loved my Kymi!! I love my new car too. (I tried to take a pic, but, was not able to get a good one yet...I am still trying to negotiate all the sunshine here...heehee!) Please keep praying about Greg's job and where will be best for him to work. There you have it...a little update! Love, Tammy for all the Z's
